    Megan has changed my life and I'm not sure she even realizes it. In a good way, of course! Megan has been the first personal trainer that I've ever worked with and it's been a great experience so far. She's inviting and I did not feel intimidated at all and she made me feel as though I belonged. Our first session felt natural and not awkward at all which I appreciate. I'm always so nervous stepping into something new especially a new gym but this was a different experience and a good one at that. When Megan and I first chatted, she listened to me and heard my needs which is why our focus over the last six weeks has been about strength. Megan pushes me (without being pushy, lol) and keeps me accountable. She's observant and makes coaching corrections to ensure that I'm focusing on the right target areas for the day's workout and for my safety. I am currently 8 months PP (after an emergency C-section) focusing on rebuilding my strength physically, emotionally and mentally. Megan has helped me find myself again after combating grief, pregnancy loss, trauma, SAD, and PPD/PPA over the last 4 (almost 5) years and I could not be more grateful for her time, commitment to my program and for helping me rebuild not only my physical strength but other areas of my life as well. She has calm energy, which isn’t what I’d typically expect in a trainer, but it makes going to the gym so much less stressful. She’s smart, knows what she’s doing, keeps you safe and helps you get results. I recently had a shoulder injury, she immediately adjusted our exercises to accommodate the situation and always made sure to check I was comfortable. She even worked in my PT exercise to keep me on track. She’s flexible with scheduling and has a solid apt/communication system. The best part is the results- I already feel so much stronger!     Go work with Megan! In just one session, she completely transformed the way I train. Before I started working with her, I was doing circuits of calisthenic exercises on my days off from my intense sport of prone paddling. We worked on form and counting reps slowly to help me gain strength, mobility, and balance. I felt she really understood the challenges I explained that my sport and body present me because she really listened. She offered me exercises that have already directly improved my performance on the water, like cutting half a minute off my mile time in less than a week. She did this all while respecting the limited equipment I use and offering ideas that are fun and easy to understand.     Megan is great at pushing you to that next level and wants to understand where you are mentally to help you balance those physical and mental steps in the process. Her understanding has made this journey encouraging and keeps me coming back! She has also emphasized the importance of establishing a solid foundation (balance, endurance, etc) before jumping into the next thing which has helped me grow stronger and feel more in control of my body. I have always had issues with coordination, and Megan picked up on that and customized a plan to account for that.
